Intro
The Malaysia Armed Forces (MAF) operates a network of coastal radar sites providing Maritime Domain Awareness across critical waterways in Southeast Asia. MAF required a technical refresh and modernization of its Coastal Surveillance System (CSS) to extend operational life, upgrade sensor capabilities, and integrate coastal sites with a centralized command structure.
Challenge
MAF's Coastal Surveillance System included eight radar sites and a Joint Regional Command Center (JRCC) at Kem Kukusan that required modernization. The effort demanded end-to-end system delivery \- from design and procurement through installation, testing, and operator training \- while maintaining operational continuity across all sites.
Solution
PEO C4I awarded Accelint a $10M contract to execute the full technical refresh and integration. Accelint delivered:
- Complete site modernization across eight CSS radar locations, replacing legacy hardware and upgrading sensor performance
- JRCC integration at Kem Kukusan, providing centralized command and control with real-time data from all coastal sites
- End-to-end system delivery, including design, procurement, configuration, installation, testing, and formal operator training
The modernized CSS provides MAF with extended operational capability, improved Maritime Domain Awareness, and a sustainable architecture built on proven systems integration. Accelint's work in Malaysia marks the fourth active project the company has delivered in Southeast Asia, reinforcing its regional experience and ability to execute complex, multinational surveillance programs through U.S. government channels.
