Intro
The Navy's Meteorological and Oceanographic (METOC) Capability Based In-Service Engineering Activity (CB-ISEA) manages life cycle sustainment for operational METOC systems used across the Fleet. These systems provide weather and oceanographic data critical to mission planning, navigation safety, and tactical decision-making. NIWC Pacific's Fleet Readiness Directorate required sustained software and systems engineering support to maintain operational capability across multiple METOC programs.
Challenge
NIWC Pacific needed comprehensive sustainment engineering for the METOC CB-ISEA portfolio to maintain fielded systems and ensure Fleet readiness. The effort required life cycle management across multiple operational METOC programs, software and systems engineering expertise to sustain operational capabilities, and naval METOC domain knowledge to support the CB-ISEA Sustainment Engineering Government Team in maintaining mission-critical systems across the Fleet.
Solution
Accelint was awarded a task order under the METOC ISEA MAC contract to provide Engineering Support Activities for METOC CB-ISEA sustainment. The one-year level-of-effort task order includes two option years. Accelint delivers:
- Software Engineering Support: Sustaining operational METOC applications and implementing capability updates.
- System Engineering Support: Maintaining systems architecture, integration, and operational reliability across the METOC portfolio.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Providing naval METOC domain knowledge to guide sustainment and operational decisions.
