Intro
The Department of the Air Force’s Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS)—the Air Force contribution to Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2)—requires a unified battle management interface for the Cloud-Based Command and Control (CBC2) program. The capability must deliver real-time situational awareness, integrate diverse operational data, and present decision-quality information across tactical echelons, from global command views to individual asset control.
Challenge
The Air Force needed a front-end interface capable of synthesizing operational data at speed, supporting decision analysis, and adapting to mission demands across cloud and edge environments. The solution had to support distributed battle management concepts, maintain compatibility across systems and echelons, and operate within a tech-agnostic, government-owned architecture to ensure long-term flexibility. Rapid iteration was essential to keep pace with evolving CONOPS and emerging operational requirements.
Solution
The Air Force awarded Accelint a three-year, $61M contract to develop and operate the Joint Effects for Real-time Integrated Command & Control Operations (JERIC2O) interface for CBC2. Built through direct warfighter engagement under a Phase III SBIR, JERIC2O delivers:
- Real-time integration with operationally relevant data sources
- Decision-analysis tools that assess cost, risk, and asset availability
- Multi-scale situational awareness from enterprise-level views to individual assets
- A tactical operator–focused design with responsive, immersive interaction
- Cloud-to-edge deployment for mission continuity in contested environments
- Continuous software delivery, pushing new capability every two weeks
JERIC2O’s open, non-proprietary architecture provides the government purpose rights required to merge, modify, or scale the capability as mission needs evolve. Accelint executes the program in coordination with the DAF PEO for Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) and Combatant Commands, advancing the Air Force’s operational objectives for ABMS and JADC2.
